Thanksgiving is a time for togetherness... it's an occasion to be spent in the warm and loving company of family, loved ones and friends enjoying turkey roast and pumpkin pies with them. Counting Down To Thanksgiving -- Three Weeks

Friends! Just three weeks more to grill the Thanksgiving turkey. It's really becoming tougher and tougher for me to resist my temptation for the roasted turkey on the Trukey Day.

If you've already prapared the Thanksgiving budget, then it's for sure that you have also chalked out the Thanksgiving dinner plan or Thanksgiving party plan. Whether you know it or not, it's now the perfect time to spare a thought over the Thanksgiving Invitation issue. Otherwise you will be too late and may end up with mess in haste, when it comes to the Turkey Day. Just follow a few simple steps to mark a name of yourself in the hearts of your special Thanksgiving guests.

  • Decide how many people you can afford. Considering your pre-formulated budget and the space are of utmost importance.
  • Make a list of the guests that you want to invite to join you at your Thanksgiving feast.
  • Decide whether you want to include kids in your Thanksgiving party or adults only. If you are going to invite kids you may have to be very selective regarding fooda nd make necessary arrangements for some games and fun.
  • As soon as you've prepared the list, give it a second glance as you may want to exclude somebody or replace somebody with any other person.
  • Spare a thought on Thanksgiving invitation cards. This is the most neglected part of the story, despite of its immense importance. No point wasting time and money in making your own invitation cards, since it's a good idea to invite people online using the pre-designed invitation ecards.
  • Choose the one that suits your Thanksgiving celebration theme and see what wonder you can make by this.

How To Make Thanksgiving Wreath?

You can have a lot of fun on Thanksgiving. But more fun comes with the planning rather than the event itself. It doesn't matter whether it's making a plan for Thanksgiving decorations or Thanksgiving dinners or other Thanksgiving activities. So, I was thinking about making stuff like special thanksgiving decorations today.

How do you make a Thanksgiving wreath? It's not all that a big deal. But it's really an awesome idea to make a thanksgiving wreath by yourself because it saves you a lot of money. Plus you'll be ready for Christmas!

  • Grapevine wreath
  • Glue gun
  • Glue Flowers (Artificial cloth sunflowers should be your choice)
  • Ribbon Indian corn (Plastic corn that you can find in the local craft stores)
  • Wood Pine Cones (You can get these at your local parks. Just pick the medium ones)
  • Plastic pumpkins (Sizes should not be uniform, but pick the small ones.)
  • Stuffed animal (You can find these in the local craft stores. Small to medium ones would be the perfect pick)
Step 1: Start off with the grapevine wreath. Attach the small stuffed bears on the wreath first so that you will have an idea what else to put and where to give it an elegant look. You can glue a small piece of wood onto the wreath to fix the bear onto the wreath. Fix the bear in such a way that it doesn't fall off the wreath.

Step 2: Fix the pumpkins onto the wreath by gluing them well so that they don't fall off.

Step 3: Fix the sunflowers all around the wreath in a way that it gives a very decent look. If you want you can use other flowers along with the sunflowers. But then, you need to pay extra attention to the color combination.

Step 4: Give final touches by using the ribbons. Make some of the beautiful bows all along the circumference of the wreath or you can make one large bow.

You are now ready with your beautiful Thanksgiving wreath. Place it on your entrance to greet your special Thanksgiving guests.

Pumpkin Scarcity Pulls Up Pumpkin Price

The pumpkin scarcity will be giving a hard blow to Thanksgiving pumpkin pie. The drought and the scorching heat has adversely affected the pumpkin harvest this year. So the supply is not going the meet the 2007 demand level for pumpkins. If you are a real pumpkin fan, I'm sure that you'll not mind paying some extra dollars for special thanksgiving dinner. But again there's a good chance that you may be disappointed if you're looking for pumpkins after Halloween. This is because a huge lot of pumpkins would be exhausted on Halloween. Pumpkin patch owners are going to out source pumpkins to meet the demand. So don't worry .. just loosen up your budget a bit.

Thanksgiving Sales – The Big Deal

There's a good news folks. Wal-Mart is planning to promote the “Black Friday” pricing weeks just before the Thanksgiving. If you are looking for the items like laptop or a digital camera, wait for a while but you don't have to wait until the Thanksgiving holiday!

Over 10,000 such items were promoted by Wal-Mart on Thanksgiving sales just before Thanksgiving 2006. The response was really huge. The quality was also really up to the mark. I know some of my friends who purchased things on the Thanksgiving sales 2006. They were really satisfied.

I can say for sure that this will be a real great deal for you. Black Friday Sale 2007 will be exactly like the last year's promotion that the company made on “Black Friday”. Happy shopping!

How to Plan A Thanksgiving Party

Planning for something in advance is what my mom always preferred, as that helps her more organized and less stressed when it comes to Thanksgiving Day. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, you can start planning a good thanksgiving meal. A few easy steps are just enough to surprise your special guests on Thanksgiving. Here's how to plan a proper Thanksgiving party:

Step 1: Start off by figuring out how many guests you want to invite. Consider the size of your home and your ability to cook for that number.
Step 2: Plan for a perfect Thanksgiving decoration for the party. This doesn't cost much. Design some thanksgiving plate mats, fold the napkins into turkeys, make thanksgiving wreaths and use thanksgiving paper chains.
Step 3: Plan a thanksgiving menu, keeping in view the tastes of your guests. You have tons of yummy recipe ideas to surprise your guests. Choose the ones that best suit with the guests and the occasion. If your guests are traditionalists they would like dishes such as turkey gravy, pumpkin pie, stuffing, mashed potatoes, yams, etc.
Step 4: It is a great idea to balance your heavy, starchy Thanksgiving classics with lighter dishes too. This will make the meal more enjoyable.
Step 5: There will be leftovers but don't worry. Thanksgiving leftover recipes to get some inspiration ideas about what to do with thanksgiving leftovers.

Thanksgiving Meal: How to make Cranberry Sauce

One thing I really love about Thanksgiving is the homemade delicacies. There's nothing like the taste of mother's home cooked food. Sometimes the little things matter more than the big ones! For example, I can't imagine myself having a Thanksgiving dinner without Cranberry sauce. And no, not the shouting and yelling of 'cranberry sauce' in a Tenacious D concert. I'm talking about the best condiment that goes with Thanksgiving turkey.

Sure you can get it by opening up a can but where's the fun in that? For those of you who still opt for the can I recommend you watch this video.

I found it on - it's a more fruity version but I think it'll be totally delicious, with all the zest and fruits in it!
