Thanksgiving is a time for togetherness... it's an occasion to be spent in the warm and loving company of family, loved ones and friends enjoying turkey roast and pumpkin pies with them. Thanksgiving is also an opportunity to renew the ties that bind us with the ones we love... it is a time for remembering, cherishing and being thankful for all the good things you have been blessed with. So it's time to say 'Happy Thanksgiving'

Giving Heartfelt Thanks

Dear Heavenly Father,
Please make us an instrument of your peace; Where there is hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. As we pray together today, let us remember that things don't happen over night. Let us not forget the struggles we all are going thru in this movement for economic injustice. Even if frustration may set in. Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart(Gal.6:9) Amen.
I began writing this blog purely out of my passion and great love for Thanksgiving. As a child, I was well aware of the history of our country and the efforts the Pilgrims put in to build a strong and worthy nation. But in order to impress upon me the true meaning of Thanksgiving, my mom wrote down some prayers in my little diary one fine morning and asked me to ponder over them. The true significance of Thanksgiving, an act of expressing thanks to the Supreme Creator for his unconditional love, grace and blessings through prayers, charity and goodwill dawned on me filling my heart with earnest gratitude. Life is not just about taking or asking for more. In fact, a simple act of thanking the Lord or donating for the upliftment of the poor and the underprivileged functions to accentuate the beauty of this world and our lives as well. Just visit these sites to help the less fortunate ones secure a meal on Thanksgiving:

I still find it hard to believe that this is my closing post but for all those who visited my blog and found it interesting and helpful, there is good news, I will be returning again next year with new and more intrigueing information on Thanksgiving. Besides, you all can check out my Christmas and recently launched Valentines Day blog as well. So, this is certainly not a word of farewell. However, I would like to thank all my visitors for considering me and my blog worthy of notice. May the first light of dawn bring immense happiness, love and success in your lives. May a rainbow of hope enwrap your homes and make all your dreams come true. A Prayer of Thanksgiving from me to all:

Dear Lord, Bless these angelic beings, and their families. Make their lives blossom with love, luck and happiness each day, every day and for years to come.

-Amen

Well, its now time for me and you all to immerse in the spirit of Thanksgiving with guests, friends and family.

The final preparation before the festive celebration has begun.

The sweet anticipation and joyous emotion has gripped everyone.

In this salubrious mood, there is only one thing left to say,

Happy Thanksgiving Day.
